With Rohit Shetty’s flick, Ranveer Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez promise a wild comedy.

Expect a riot of fun, energy, and lunacy on screen when it’s Ranveer Singh – and the Cirkus movie poster is all of that and more. Cirkus, directed and produced by Rohit Shetty, promises to be a wild ride with plenty of humour. This will not be a typical Ranveer Singh film since the actor will be featured in a completely new role.
Expect the festive season to get even merrier as Ranveer Singh entertains you all with a no-holds-barred wacky film. Singh, who was last seen in Jayeshbhai Jordaar earlier this year, will be seen playing characters he has never played before.
The film is based on the 1982 Hindi film ‘Angoor,’ which was loosely based on William Shakespeare’s play ‘The Comedy of Errors.’ Ranveer will play two roles in the film, which is about two pairs of identical twins who were unintentionally separated at birth.
While we’ll learn more about that in the coming week when the teaser is released, let’s have a peek at Cirkus’ odd cast.
Cirkus: Cast information, release date, and more
The poster features Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde from the Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Jacqueline Fernandez, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Varun Sharma, Tiku Talsania, Vrajesh Hirjee, Sulbha Arya, and Ashwini Kalsekar, among others. If you’re a K-pop lover who consumes Korean material, you might have recognised prominent social media influencer Radhika Bangia in the motion poster.
True to its name, the motion poster’s backdrop is colourful and dotted with vintage cars and stage curtains. The music in the background is also unusual and upbeat. A ‘Jubilee Cirkus’ is mentioned in the teaser’s bottom right corner if you look closely.
Both Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty shared the teaser on their separate social media accounts, writing, “Before the trailer hits next week, meet our CIRKUS family.”#CirkusThisChristmas.”
On December 23, the film will be released in theatres.
Ranveer Singh will join legendary actors like Sanjeev Kumar, Deven Verma, Kishore Kumar, and others who have played dual roles in a comedy film with Cirkus. For those who are unaware, this is Shetty and Singh’s third collaboration, following Simmba and Sooryavanshi. Ranveer Singh is working on Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Shankar’s Next, and Takht.
