On Saturday, Anil Kapoor celebrated his 66th birthday at home with family and close friends. His close friends Jackie Shroff and Farah Khan, as well as his nieces Shanaya Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Anshula Kapoor, were among those there. He even posed for the cameras at the gates, joking that they had come for Farah Khan rather than him. At Anil Kapoor’s bash, Boney Kapoor poses with Janhvi Kapoor’s rumoured lover Shikhar Pahariya.
Farah Khan posted a video from the night to Instagram with the remark, “Now that’s some birthday!!” I adore you, Papaji @anilskapoor… special appearance @apnabhidu Jackie Shroff.. #ramlakhan viva.” The footage shows all three of them standing at the gate for the cameras. As a large swarm of photographers gathers, Anil taunts Farah, saying, “Arey kya craze hai tera (they are crazy about you), they have come for you, not for me.” “It’s Jackie’s mania,” he says.
When Farah requests that Jackie say something for the camera on Anil’s birthday, he responds, “bolne ka kya hai (what is there to say)” and then blows a flying kiss.
Farah also posted a video of the photographers singing “happy birthday” to Anil on her Instagram Stories. In the video, Farah can also be heard saying “papaji” to Anil.
Boney and Sanjay Kapoor, Anil’s brothers, also attended the gathering with their separate families. Boney appeared for photos alongside Janhvi Kapoor’s rumoured beau Shikhar Pahariya. Janvhi, Khushi, and Anshula Kapoor also posed for photographs.
Sanjay Kapoor arrived with his wife Maheep Kapoor and their two children, Shanaya and Jahaan. Shanaya wore a stunning white gown while Maheep wore a yellow pantsuit. Actress Bhumi Pednekar also attended the event. She was dressed in all black. Anil’s actor son Harsh Vardhan Kapoor and designer Masaba Gupta also posed for cameras outside the gate. After attending the Christmas dinner with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor at Soni Razdan’s residence, Anil’s JugJugg Jeeyo co-star Neetu Kapoor also joined him in the birthday festivities.
Anil Kapoor also handed the photographers chocolate cakes. At the gathering, he wore a black jacket and jeans.
